Family Systems
Making collages of Family Genograms, or certain family relations, is a way in which I shed light on deep patterns that are reproduced inter-generationally. These pieces have photographs interwoven with letters, cards, maps, etc. The Egograms are also depictions of inner family systems — phantom relationships that live inside our psyche and shape our feelings and actions. Family Myths are collages, which represent the inner system of myths and beliefs passed from generation to generation, using found media photographs and texts from different decades.
