Cityscapes

I started drawing and painting rooftop views of New York in 2002 and Barcelona in 2005, shortly after emigrating to each city. I have since continued photographing rooftop city views. Each piece has a poem or a question, which I write on the first layer and then build up to 12 layers with my photographs, sketches with illustration markers, found paper materials, transfers, and acrylic and oil paints.
