These collage pieces are a form of open inquiry: Each starts with a question, which is latent in my mind, and which I write on the canvas board support. I make these pieces very much how you would assemble a puzzle; I spread out on a table cut-outs from my collection of found materials, and start intuitively gluing, sketching, and painting with no preconceived composition until a coherent whole emerges.
